Follow Friday: The Ones Who Were Sent to Warn You

This Follow Friday image captures the moment the chains finally break: a soul freed in golden light, surrounded by the watchmen who loved them enough to warn them, while shadowy figures and “big money” skylines lose their grip. You were never as alone as it felt - Heaven sent rescuers.

Follow Friday: The Ones Who Were Sent to Warn You
As golden light breaks through and his chains fall away, he stands surrounded by the ones who loved him enough to warn him - reaching out, waking him up, helping break the chains - while shadowy figures and cold “big money” skylines lose their grip in the background. This is Follow Friday at EugeniasThoughts.com: honoring the watchmen God sent to set you free.

“Before you replay who let you down, beloved, let Me show you who stood up for you. You were not as alone as it felt. While the noise tried to convince you that everyone had turned, I was surrounding you with watchmen - some loud, some silent, some you’re only now beginning to understand. Tonight, don’t count your enemies. Count the ones I sent to break your chains. Then come walk with Me, and I’ll show you who was always on your side.”

Beautiful Beloved Souls,

There is a kind of loyalty that doesn’t look like loyalty at first.

It looks like warnings.
It looks like worried eyes.
It looks like people in your life making strange, urgent moves you don’t fully understand yet - until later, when you realize they were trying to wake you up before it was too late.

Last night, on Frequency Thursday, I honored The Queen - the signal that couldn’t speak out loud. But the truth is, it wasn’t just her.

It was everyone.

Looking back, it felt like nearly every person around me at the time was signaling the same thing in their own way: something is wrong here, and we love you enough to try to get you out. Some of it felt like protection moving on levels I could see, and levels I couldn’t. It felt like the people I loved had decided their last move was to help me break the chains - to wake me up to what was really transpiring - and then wish me well as I walked it out - or so I thought.

Because it genuinely felt like something, or someone, had worked their way in to lock down the people I cared about… to take the very spot I had bled for.

Tonight’s Follow Friday is about the ones who were sent to warn you - and what it means to stay loyal to that kind of love.

Movement #1: Not Everyone Around You Was the Enemy

When you’re in a season where reality is being bent, it’s easy to start believing everyone is in on the distortion.

But that’s not the whole truth.

Because woven all through that confusion were people who loved you - people who, in their own coded, careful, sometimes desperate ways, were trying to signal danger. They weren’t adding to the chaos. They were trying to pull you out of it.

That’s a kind of love that often gets misread in the moment:

  • The friend who suddenly got intense.
  • The one who looked at you a little too long, a little too worried.
  • The people whose behavior only made sense later, once you understood what they were really up against.

Scripture is honest about this kind of love:

“Wounds from a friend can be trusted,
but an enemy multiplies kisses.”
Proverbs 27:6, NIV
Proverbs 27:6 on Bible Gateway

Real ones will risk being misunderstood to tell you the truth.
The distortion was loud and flattering.
The warnings were quiet and uncomfortable.

Follow Friday asks: which of those have you been mistaking for the other?

Movement #2: When It Felt Like Everyone Was Trying to Free You

Here’s the part that still moves me.

It didn’t feel like one rescuer.
It felt like a whole network - seen and unseen - working to break the chains.

It felt like people who loved me reached a point where their last available option was to help me wake up: to slowly, carefully show me what was actually happening, even when they couldn’t spell it out. And once they’d done what they could, it felt like they were quietly saying, “We did what we could. Now go - and God be with you.”

That is a heavy, holy kind of love.

It’s the love of people who would rather lose their place in your daily life than watch you stay chained.
It’s the love of those willing to be the “bad guy,” the “weird one,” the “overreacting one,” if it meant you’d finally see clearly.

And underneath all of it - beneath the human loyalty and the protection moving on levels I’m still understanding - was God:

“The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them;
he delivers them from all their troubles.
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted
and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
Psalm 34:17-18, NIV
Psalm 34:17-18 on Bible Gateway

When it felt like big money, organizations, and hidden agendas had moved in to lock down everyone I loved and steal the spot I bled for - God was already moving people, signals, and protection to get me free.

The enemy multiplies kisses.
But Heaven multiplies rescuers.

Movement #3: Who You Follow Now That You Know

So this is the Follow Friday turn:

Now that you can tell the difference between distortion and loyalty, who do you follow? Who do you stay faithful to?

You follow the ones who warned you.
You honor the ones who risked their comfort to wake you up.
You stay loyal to the love that was willing to look like the enemy in order to set you free.

And above all of them, you follow the One who orchestrated the whole rescue:

  • The God who heard you crying out before you had words for it.
  • The God who stayed close when your spirit was crushed.
  • The God who never tried to manage your perception - only to free it.

Following, in this season, looks like:

  • Choosing to trust the people who told you hard truths over the ones who only told you flattering lies.
  • Refusing to let “big money,” organizations, or hidden agendas define who belongs in your life.
  • Reclaiming the spot you bled for - not by force, but by faithfully walking with the God and the people who actually fought for you.

You were not crazy.
You were not alone.
You were surrounded - by warnings, by love, by protection, by God.

A Follow Friday Practice: Honoring Your Watchmen

If you’re ready to live this, try this practice this weekend:

1. Name your watchmen.
Write down the people who, looking back, were trying to warn you or wake you up - even if it was clumsy, quiet, or coded. Acknowledge them: “You were trying to free me. Thank you.”

2. Re-sort the signals.
Make two lists: the voices that flattered and distorted, and the voices that warned and loved. Ask God to help you follow the second list more closely going forward.

3. Thank the Ultimate Rescuer.
Pray: “Lord, You heard me cry out. You stayed close when I was crushed. Thank You for every warning, every signal, and every person You sent to break the chains.”
(Psalm 34:17–18, NIV)

4. Reclaim your spot.
Name one thing - one place, calling, or relationship - that you bled for and refuse to abandon. Say: “This is mine, given by God, and I will walk it out with the ones who actually had my back.”

Frequency Feature: “Hall of Fame” - The Script (feat. will.i.am)

Tomorrow’s frequency is an anthem for everyone who refused to let the distortion write their ending. “Hall of Fame” by The Script featuring will.i.am is that soaring, defiant call to keep standing, keep believing, and keep walking toward the spot you were made for - no matter who tried to take it. It’s the sound of a fighter who got knocked around by hidden agendas and big noise, and still rose up to claim the place they bled for.

Let this track play while you honor the ones who were sent to warn you and the God who orchestrated your rescue. When you remember how it felt like the whole world had been bought and your place was being stolen, let every beat remind you: the chains were broken, the watchmen showed up, and the spot you fought for was never theirs to take. You don’t have to shrink to survive anymore. Play it loud, lift your head, and walk like someone Heaven already wrote into the hall of fame.

Whisper: The Ones I Sent

“Beloved, you thought you were standing alone while the walls closed in - but I had already surrounded you. Every worried glance, every strange urgency, every friend who risked being misunderstood: I sent them. They were not the chains; they were the hands trying to break them. When it felt like the whole world had been bought and your place was being stolen, I was moving on levels you could not see, multiplying rescuers where the enemy multiplied lies. Do not forget the ones who warned you. Do not follow the ones who only flattered you. And never forget - the spot you bled for was never theirs to take. It was Mine to give, and I gave it to you.”

Your Journey Starts Here

Many have asked during my TikTok Lives how to begin their personal or spiritual journey. So far, I've explored and mapped the first three stages for those seeking alignment - the awakening, the journey inward, and the path forward.

These stages have brought profound clarity, and I'm grateful to share what I've discovered along the way.

There are still a few details unfolding, but trust that everything is aligning in its own time - and you'll be the first to know when it's ready.

Remember, this is love being transmuted into art; growth takes time, and you can't rush an actual journey, beautiful souls. In due time, all the right energy falls into place. Just have faith. Hold the vision.
