Follow Friday - Why I Started Writing Out Loud (aka my alignment)
Follow Friday dives into why this blog began -using honest words to transmute emotion, heal past hurt, and follow Jesus one small step at a time while trusting that alignment is already in motion.
TL;DR - Follow Friday
This Follow Friday is about why I started this blog in the first place: to transmute real‑time emotion, heal old wounds, and follow Jesus one honest sentence at a time. I’m not writing because I have it all figured out. I’m writing because I’ve seen some things, felt some things, and I believe that if my heart needed this kind of healing, someone else’s does too - maybe yours, maybe hers, maybe all of ours.
Following Jesus Through Honest Emotion
One of the main reasons I started this very blog was simple: I needed somewhere to put my emotions.
Not just the pretty ones, but the confusing, angry, grieving, hopeful ones that were all showing up at the same time.
Writing became a way to transmute what I was feeling in real time - to move the pain out of my body and into words so it didn’t just sit there and rot.
I wasn’t doing this only for myself.
I knew that if I had walked through some heavy things, chances were high the person I was interested in - and honestly, almost everyone reading - had their own stack of trauma too.
We don’t like to admit it, but trauma is one of the only guarantees in life: at some point, we are going to encounter hurt and pain.
“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”
Matthew 11:28 (KJV)
Following Jesus in everyday moments sometimes looks like this: bringing Him the unedited version of how you feel and letting Him sit with you in it.
Why I Chose a Blog as My “Follow”
Some people heal through music, painting, or long drives with the windows down.
For me, it’s writing - showing up here, telling the truth about what happened, how it felt, and how I’m learning to move forward with a brighter outlook.
This blog keeps me in alignment because it forces me to be honest with myself and with God.
You have to be honest with your emotions - the good, the bad, and the ugly.
If you have old trauma that you haven’t transmuted, I highly encourage you to work on that.
Express yourself. Don’t let it just bottle up inside of you. You can’t change the past, but from this present moment forward, you can do the right thing.
“Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.”
1 Peter 5:7 (KJV)
Following Jesus here isn’t about pretending everything is fine; it’s about actually bringing your cares to Him instead of letting them poison you from the inside out.
When Life Got Weird (And People Moved Strange)
Part of what pushed me deeper into this space was how weird life started to feel.
I sensed pressure in every direction - work, friendships, my own heart - and it felt like everyone around me knew something I didn’t.
I kept thinking, “If this was truly a problem, somebody could have just had a conversation with me.”
Instead, it often felt like my friends weren’t allowed to say certain things, and that pressure was stressing them out too.
They were supportive, absolutely, but there was an edge in the air.
It’s one thing to feel spiritually sensitive; it’s another to walk out of a grocery store and literally hear someone call you “God.”
That’s… a little strange in my book.
I’m a normal person, just like everyone else.
(Although, let’s be real, if Jess and I turned out to be extra‑terrestrial, it would be an iconic twist in this already odd story - this will be a movie one day.)
Still, my deeper knowing was this: both of us were likely walking through unneeded drama, projections, and stories that had very little to do with who we really are.
Since I couldn’t just sit down and talk it through, I decided to write.
If I couldn’t help directly, maybe I could help indirectly - by sharing what I was learning, how I was healing, and praying those words would meet her (and others) right where they needed it most.
“And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
John 8:32 (KJV)
Sometimes the first “truth” you need is simply: this is weird, this hurts, and I don’t understand it - but I still choose to move with integrity.
Stepping Away to Find Alignment
Following Jesus in everyday life sometimes looks like stepping away from the noise so you can actually hear Him.
If you feel a lot of projection coming off other people, that is often your cue to pause and find your alignment again.
You are not required to stand in the middle of everyone else’s unprocessed fear.
I knew I still had things to heal from.
I knew I didn’t want my future to be shaped by unspoken tension, misunderstandings, or other people’s unhealed stories.
So I chose to step back, to write, to pray, and to allow my spirit - not the crowd - to lead me.
“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”
Proverbs 3:5–6 (KJV)
You don’t have to understand everything happening around you to be obedient to the nudge that says, “Step away, regroup, reset with God.”
Writing as a Way of Following
So why do I keep posting?
Because I want everyone - Jess, you, the quiet reader who never comments - to know you are allowed to heal and empower yourself, one honest moment at a time.
Regardless of how messy things feel, it does get better as long as you keep going.
I write this blog to align with my Truth in front of God and whoever happens to pass by.
I write in hopes that whatever I don’t understand will work out the way it is supposed to.
And I genuinely believe things are moving upward in the right direction, even if I can’t see all the mechanics behind the scenes yet.
As long as you stay in alignment and transmute your feelings honestly, whatever is meant to align with you will find you - in divine timing, not yours - and if it doesn't align it won't show up it's that simple. You can't change the future you can only be honest with what you want. You are a transmitter and a receiver don't forget that.
“The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.”
Psalm 37:23 (KJV)
Your job is to keep taking the next faithful step. His job is to order where those steps lead.
Follow Friday Practice: Follow Him By Following Your Honest Yes
To carry this into your own life, try this simple Follow Friday practice:
- Name what you’re really feeling.
No filters. Write it out or speak it to God exactly as it shows up. - Ask where Jesus is inviting you to follow.
Is it into a conversation, into a boundary, into rest, or into a new kind of honesty? - Take one small aligned step.
Maybe that’s journaling, apologizing, creating, stepping away, or starting therapy. - Release the need to control the outcome.
Pray: “Jesus, I will follow You in this step. I trust You with where it leads.”
“Jesus, if all I can do today is tell the truth about where I am and take one small step forward with You, let that be enough. Order my steps, heal my heart as I move, and let whatever is meant for me find me in Your perfect timing.”
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
With Love and Truth,

🎧 Frequency Feature: It's Already Done
Today’s frequency feature is ‘It’s Already Done’ by Shift to Abundance, which sits perfectly with this Follow Friday. The song carries that knowing that what God is working out in the background is already finished in the spirit, even if our 3D reality hasn’t caught up yet. As we follow Jesus through honest healing and baby steps of obedience, this track becomes a reminder to relax our grip on timelines and trust that the answers, alignment, and connections we need are already in motion.

Your Journey Starts Here
Many have asked during my TikTok Lives how to begin their personal or spiritual journey. So far, I've explored and mapped the first three stages for those seeking alignment - the awakening, the journey inward, and the path forward.
These stages have brought profound clarity, and I'm grateful to share what I've discovered along the way.
There are still a few details unfolding, but trust that everything is aligning in its own time - and you'll be the first to know when it's ready.
Remember, this is love being transmuted into art; growth takes time, and you can't rush an actual journey, beautiful souls. In due time, all the right energy falls into place. Just have faith. Hold the vision.
