Frequency Thursday: Tuning Out Witchcraft, Tuning Into Truth

Frequency Thursday is your reminder that not every voice deserves access to your mind. When manipulation, witchcraft, and chaos get loud, you can tune into God’s frequency - power, love, and a sound mind - and cut off every signal that attacks your peace.

Frequency Thursday: Tuning Out Witchcraft, Tuning Into Truth
Frequency Thursday: tuning into God’s clear signal while the world’s chaos, static, and manipulation fade into the background.

“Not every smooth voice is safe. Not every smiling face is aligned with Truth.”

That is the whisper for this Frequency Thursday. When you are surrounded by manipulation, projection, and quiet lies, it can feel like you are losing your mind. People insist their version of reality is the only one. They minimize your discernment, twist your words, and try to convince you that what you feel in your spirit is “overreacting” or “too sensitive.”

But underneath the noise, there is another frequency - the steady, pure sound of God’s voice. It does not gaslight you. It does not demand blind loyalty. It does not require you to abandon your own sense of right and wrong. It calls you back to clarity, to Love, and to Truth.

You are not crazy for sensing spiritual warfare in human behavior. Mind control, manipulation, and witchcraft are real in our world. So is the Holy Spirit, who cuts through confusion and gives you the courage to stand in your God-given authority.

When Everyone Is in “Devilish Energy”

Sometimes you look around and realize: it is not just one person acting off. It is a whole environment - group chats, workplaces, even families - running on what you can only describe as “devilish energy.”

  • People try to entrap you in situations you would never agree to with a clear mind.
  • They push you to make rushed decisions, sign things, say yes to dynamics that crush your peace.
  • They project their own darkness onto you, so you end up apologizing for what they did.
  • They collectively act like there is something wrong with you for seeing what they refuse to admit.

Scripture is clear that this kind of spiritual atmosphere exists:

“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”
Ephesians 6:12 (NIV)

Your battle is not ultimately with their personalities, their group narratives, or their egos. It is with the spiritual forces that love confusion, mind games, and bondage. That is why arguing nonstop rarely works; you are arguing with something deeper than just human stubbornness.

Cutting Off Negative Energy Is Not “Un-Christian” - It’s Wise

There will be moments when the holiest, most loving thing you can do is leave -mentally, emotionally, even physically. If you are in an environment where deception and control are the norm, you are not required to stay and let it devour your sanity.

“Do not be misled: ‘Bad company corrupts good character.’”
1 Corinthians 15:33 (NIV)

“Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.”
Ephesians 5:11 (NIV)

Cutting off negative energy does not mean you hate people. It means you refuse to partner with the spirit operating through them. You can:

  • Pray for them from a distance.
  • Forgive them without re-entering the trap.
  • Love them as individuals while refusing to participate in their games.

If you ever find yourself somewhere that constantly demands you silence your discernment, ignore red flags, or override your peace, that is not a “godly community.” That is a spiritually unsafe environment.

You are allowed to say, “No more.”

Mind Control, Witchcraft, and the Devil’s Playground

The phrase “mind control and witchcraft” may sound dramatic to some, but Scripture does not shy away from the reality of spiritual manipulation. Witchcraft is not just candles and rituals; it is any attempt to control people through intimidation, domination, or false spiritual authority.

“For rebellion is like the sin of divination, and arrogance like the evil of idolatry.”
1 Samuel 15:23 (NIV)

Where there is rebellion against God’s ways and arrogant self-importance, spiritual distortion is close by.

The enemy loves to use:

  • Guilt and shame as levers to move you.
  • False “prophetic” words that pressure you instead of confirming what God already spoke.
  • Emotional highs and lows to keep you off balance so you stop trusting your own sound mind.

But God has given you something stronger:

“For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.”
2 Timothy 1:7 (NIV)

A sound mind is your birthright in Christ. Witchcraft tries to cloud it; the Holy Spirit restores it. When the world feels like the devil’s playground, you do not have to play his games. You can stand on the edge of that playground and say, “I see what this is, and I refuse to participate.”

Staying Anchored in the Frequency of Truth

God’s voice has a frequency: power, love, and clarity. The enemy’s voice has a different frequency: fear, confusion, and pressure. Learning to tune in to God in a manipulative environment means paying attention not just to what is being said, but to the spirit behind it.

Jesus described His voice this way:

“My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.”
John 10:27 (NIV)

Here are some ways to stay anchored in that frequency of Truth:

  1. Test the spirit, not just the sentence.
Words can sound spiritual and still be rooted in control. Ask yourself:
    • Does this draw me closer to God’s peace or further into confusion?
    • Does this respect my free will, or does it pressure and corner me?
    • Does this align with Scripture, or just with someone’s agenda?
  2. Let peace be your umpire.
Colossians says, “Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts.”
    Colossians 3:15 (NIV)
If you lose peace every time you engage with certain people or spaces, pay attention. Peace doesn’t mean “easy”; it means “aligned with God.”
  3. Feed on Truth more than on noise.
If you spend most of your time listening to their narratives and only tiny scraps of time in God’s word, the loudest voice wins. Even short, consistent doses of Scripture re-tune your inner frequency:
    • Morning: read a few verses and ask, “What is God’s tone toward me today?”
    • Midday: step away from the swirl and breathe a short prayer, “Holy Spirit, re-center me.”
    • Night: ask, “Where did I agree with lies today? Show me and set me free.”
  4. Speak truth over yourself out loud.
Manipulation works best in silence. Break it with your own voice:
    • “I have a sound mind in Christ.”
    • “I am not obligated to stay in unsafe spaces.”
    • “I choose Love and Truth, even if that means walking away.”

Standing in Your God-Given Authority

You are not powerless here. You carry the Spirit of God. When you stand in that authority, you are not being “rebellious” or “difficult”; you are honoring the One who lives in you.

“Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”
James 4:7 (NIV)

Notice the order: submit to God first, then resist. Authority flows from alignment. When you are tuned to God’s frequency - rooted in His love, surrendered to His truth - you can:

  • Say no to invitations that feel spiritually off, even if everyone else says yes.
  • Walk away from conversations that twist your words or attack your sanity.
  • Refuse to be guilted into staying in relationships that constantly violate your peace.

Love does not mean unlimited access. Jesus loved people deeply and still walked away from certain crowds, answered some people with silence, and set firm boundaries around His mission. You are allowed to do the same.

Love and Truth: Your Safe Frequency

In a world that is, yes, often the devil’s playground, your safe frequency is always the same: Love and Truth. Not fake, sugary love that ignores red flags. Not “truth” used as a weapon to shame. Real Love. Real Truth.

“Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.”
1 Corinthians 13:6 (NIV)

If you are not receiving love and truth in a person, place, or situation, you are not in a spiritually safe environment - no matter how “Christian” it looks on the outside. Frequency Thursday is your invitation to stop gaslighting yourself about that.

You are allowed to require:

  • Conversations where honesty is welcome.
  • Relationships where you can say “no” without retaliation.
  • Spaces where your discernment is honored, not mocked.

Where Love and Truth are absent, you have permission to step back and let God relocate you.

A Prayer to Retune Your Frequency

Pray this over yourself as you step into Frequency Thursday:

Lord,
there is so much noise around me -
voices that twist,
stories that confuse,
energies that drain and control.

Today I choose to tune my heart
to Your frequency of Truth.
Open my ears to recognize Your voice
and close my ears to every manipulative,
deceiving, or shaming spirit.
John 10:27 (NIV)

Give me courage
to cut off negative energy
and step away from unsafe environments,
even when others don’t understand.
Let me submit fully to You
and stand firm as I resist the enemy’s schemes.
James 4:7 (NIV)

Guard my mind
from witchcraft, mind games,
and every attempt to control my will.
Fill me again with
power, love, and a sound mind.
2 Timothy 1:7 (NIV)

Surround me with people and places
that move in Love and Truth.
Where I am not being met
with those two things,
give me clarity to see it,
strength to name it,
and freedom to leave.

Retune my spirit
until what is false sounds off-key
and what is from You
rings clear and undeniable.

In Jesus’ name,
Amen.

Frequency Thursday whisper to carry with you:

“You do not have to live under their spell. Tune your heart to My voice, stand in the authority I gave you, and let Love and Truth be the only frequency you answer to.”

🎧 Frequency Feature: Karma

Taylor Swift’s “Karma” is such a fitting pairing for this Frequency Thursday because it echoes the spiritual law we’ve been talking about: you can step back, stay clean, and let God deal with what people have sown. The song becomes a sonic reminder that while others may move in manipulation, lies, and “devilish energy,” you don’t have to chase revenge - your assignment is to tune into God’s frequency of truth and love, trusting that every seed of deceit eventually circles back to the ones who planted it.
