How to Raise Your Spiritual Frequency and Live in God's Love
Discover how to raise your spiritual frequency, overcome distraction, and live in God’s love. Align your soul, body, and mind with Christ’s signal of peace.
Opening Whisper
Have you ever felt a quiet hum beneath the noise of your daily life? A sense that you were made for something more than chaos and distraction? That quiet hum is the frequency you were created to live in. It is not chaos. It is not the endless chase of the flesh. It is love. (See also: The Frequency of Faith: When Silence Speaks Louder)
When you seek Jesus, this is what you are truly seeking. Think of your spiritual life as a radio. This post is about learning how to tune out the static of the flesh and lock onto the clear signal of God's love. As the scripture says, "God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them" (1 John 4:16).
The Conflict: Soul vs. Flesh
Beautiful souls, what your soul wants and what your body wants are two very different things. Your body wants comfort, distraction, and numbing. For further reflection on choosing honesty over numbing, visit The Midweek Mirror: Numbing vs. Living. It craves the scroll, the sugar, the quick fix. But your soul longs for something deeper. It wants to be healthy, to live in love, to receive joy and peace, and to experience the fullness of God's presence.
Many people ask, "How can I stop giving in to temptation?" The answer begins the moment you realize this internal conflict is real. The Apostle Paul wrote, "Walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh" (Galatians 5:16).
To follow Jesus is to discipline the body, not so we can boast in strength, but so the Spirit can lead us into life. Jesus Himself reminded His disciples in the garden, "Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak" (Matthew 26:41). The Invitation: Raising Your Frequency
To raise your frequency is to strip away distractions and sit in the presence of God. It looks like turning off the noise, learning to sit with your body, and hearing your soul speak.
It is a series of simple, daily choices:
• Choose prayer before screens.
• Choose silence before gossip.
• Choose whole foods before junk.
• Choose gratitude before complaint.

It is not complicated, but it is costly. Every small act of alignment tunes you closer to God's signal. And once you taste this alignment, you will see that love is the baseline you were made for. "But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well" (Matthew 6:33).
My Story: The Cheat Code of Frequency
I am telling you this because it took me 40 years to find it. I lived through decades of struggle, addiction, distraction, and pain. I thought success was money, cars, or a constant grind. But that was the flesh leading me in circles.
There was a time when my mornings began with pills, panic, and noise. I would wake up with my first thought being, "Where's the bottle?" The static of addiction consumed me. Now my mornings begin with gratitude, scripture, and silence. My first thought is, "Thank You, Lord, for breath in my lungs." That contrast is the cheat code: trading the world's static for the Spirit's peace.
For starting each week from a place of anchored faith, read Monday Morning Grace: Wielding Your Energy.
When I finally learned to tune into God's frequency, I discovered bliss, wholeness, and love overflowing - not from circumstances, but from the Spirit alive in me.
Now my soul keeps my body on strict duty: to live from Spirit, not from flesh. Failure only comes when you stop. As long as your soul is leading, you cannot fail.
From Discipline to Overflow
When you live in God's frequency, you will see the change.
There's more on overflow and surrender in Follow Friday: The Sacred Exhale – Following Jesus in Everyday Moments.
• Patience replaces frustration.
• Gratitude replaces complaint.
• Peace replaces anxiety.
• Love overflows naturally.
This is the fruit of the Spirit. "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control" (Galatians 5:22-23).
Discipline starts the process, but love is the reward. And love is the baseline frequency of God Himself. "Be still, and know that I am God" (Psalm 46:10).
Reflection Questions
Take a few moments to sit with these:
• Where in my life am I still living from the flesh rather than the Spirit?
• What is one distraction I can remove this week to tune into God's frequency?
• How would my life shift if I made love my baseline frequency?
• What does it mean to "stand for something" in faith? The Whisper to Begin: Stand for Something
• Who can I invite to hold me accountable when I slip back into the static?
A Final Word
You do not have to wait 40 years like I did. You can begin today. Remove one distraction. Add one moment of stillness. Breathe and listen.
You are not too far gone. You are loved. And when you raise your frequency to love, you will discover that Jesus has been waiting for you there all along.
Every sunrise is a reminder that His mercies are new. Every breath is proof that you still have purpose. My friend, you don’t need to climb a mountain to meet Him - you only need to quiet the noise long enough to hear the whisper in your own soul.
The journey is not about perfection; it’s about direction. Every small choice made in faith draws you closer to the life you were created for. Walk boldly, trusting that love is both the path and the destination.
And if you are struggling to tune into the frequency of love, pause and ask yourself: Am I living my soul’s truth, or am I carrying the weight of someone else’s expectations? Don't navigate your life based on someone else's moods. What others think of you is not your concern. Your calling is not to please people, but to follow your soul as it aligns with God. In that space, love overflows, peace anchors you, and your true life begins to unfold in His divine timing.
With love and truth,
Eugene 💚
