Monday Morning Grace: Standing Tall In The Storm

This Monday Morning Grace is for the ones already in a storm before the week begins. When eyes and agendas are on you, God invites you to lift your chin, take life one breath at a time, and trust that He is working behind the scenes in every battle you face.

Monday Morning Grace: Standing Tall In The Storm
An African American man stands in front of a stormy sky with rain falling and light outlining his shoulders, capturing Monday Morning Grace’s call to hold your head high and trust God in the middle of life’s fiercest battles.

Whisper:
Lift your chin, beautiful soul - this storm is not evidence that God has forgotten you; it is proof that He trusts the strength He planted inside of you.

By the time Monday arrives, some of us are already in the middle of a battle. It feels like waves are crashing before the week even starts, group dynamics are tense, and you can sense eyes and agendas trained on you. In those moments, Monday Morning Grace is not about pretending everything is fine; it is about remembering Who walks into this week with you and choosing to keep your head high and your confidence rooted in the Most High - even when everything around you feels like a battlefield.

“The Lord is my light and my salvation - whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life - of whom shall I be afraid?”
Psalm 27:1 (NIV)

You Were Not Chosen By Accident

God is not surprised by what is going on in your life. The details that shock you, drain you, or keep you up at night have not caught Him off guard. When the battle feels impossibly heavy, it is easy to assume something is wrong with you - that you are being punished, singled out, or abandoned. But very often, the opposite is true: the fiercest battles are entrusted to the strongest souls.

If you are “really going through it” right now, there is a reason you were chosen for this fight. There is something in you - your faith, your integrity, your refusal to bow to darkness - that heaven knows can handle pressure most people would crumble under. That does not mean you have to enjoy it. It simply means you are not weak; you are trusted.

“Dear friends, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal that has come on you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you.”
1 Peter 4:12 (NIV)

When Eyes And Agendas Are On You

Sometimes you find yourself surrounded by multiple groups - at work, in your neighborhood, even in your own family - who seem to have their eyes set on you. You can feel the whispers, the monitoring, the hidden conversations. You sense that people are trying to read you, test you, or even bait you into reactions they can use against you.

This is not your moment to waiver. This is your moment to stand ten toes down in who God created you to be. You do not need a five‑year plan or all the answers; you just need enough grace for the next bit of time in front of you.

  • If a day feels too big, take it an hour at a time.
  • If an hour feels too big, take it a minute at a time.
  • If even that feels like too much, take the next breath as an act of holy defiance against the darkness that wants you to quit.
“So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.”
Hebrews 10:35–36 (NIV)

One Step, One Shine At A Time

Your job in this season is not to manage every story-line or fix what people say about you. Your job is to keep shining your bright light in the way only you know how. That might look like:

  • Telling the truth gently but firmly when lies try to surround you.
  • Choosing kindness without allowing yourself to be a doormat.
  • Continuing to create, serve, work, and love in alignment with your calling, even when applause is replaced with suspicion.

You are not shining because life is easy; you are shining because God is in you. Every time you refuse to let bitterness take over, every time you get back up after another hit, every time you choose love over revenge, you are testifying - without words - that God’s grace is stronger than the storm.

“In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”
Matthew 5:16 (NIV)

God Sees What You Can’t See Yet

One of the hardest parts of a spiritual battle is the not‑knowing. You can feel that things are happening behind the scenes, but you do not have proof. You sense conversations, plans, and motives, but no one will say them out loud. That uncertainty can make you feel crazy if you let it.

Here is the anchor: God sees every text thread, every meeting, every motive, every mask. He knows exactly what is being plotted and how He plans to turn it for your good. In the proper timing, He will disclose what you need to know - no sooner, no later. You are allowed to stop chasing explanations and start resting in the fact that the One who loves you most has the full picture.

You did not sign up for an easy life. Following Jesus has always come with challenges, tribulations, and spiritual resistance. Even Jesus was betrayed by those closest to Him. If He, the purest soul to ever walk the earth, faced false accusations and twisted intentions, then your experience of betrayal does not mean God has abandoned you; it means you are walking a path He understands deeply.

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
Romans 8:28 (NIV)
“The Son of Man is going to be delivered into the hands of men.”
Matthew 17:22 (NIV)

Monday Morning Grace Practice: How To Stand Tall Today

Let this be your simple practice as you step into this week:

1. Speak truth over your posture.
Before you leave your room, say out loud: “My head is high because my hope is in God, not in people’s opinions.”

“But you, Lord, are a shield around me, my glory, the One who lifts my head high.”
Psalm 3:3 (NIV)

2. Shrink the timeline.
Ask yourself, “What is the next right thing I can do in the next 10-30 minutes?” Do that, and let tomorrow worry about itself.

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”
Matthew 6:34 (NIV)

3. Refuse to negotiate your worth.
When someone’s behavior tries to make you feel small, quietly remind yourself, “Their actions do not rewrite who I am.”

“For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.”
Psalm 139:13 (NIV)

4. End the day with gratitude, not defeat.
Before bed, name at least one moment where you did not give up - where you chose faith, honesty, or simple perseverance instead of quitting.

“Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
1 Thessalonians 5:18 (NIV)

Monday Morning Grace Prayer

Jesus,

This week
I refuse
to bow my head
to fear,
confusion,
or manipulation.

Lift my chin
so I can see
not just the storm
around me,
but the strength
You are building
within me.

You know the battles
I am facing,
the groups watching,
the words spoken
in rooms I am not in.
You are not surprised
by any of it.

Help me stand
ten toes down
in who You created me to be.
When a day feels too heavy,
give me grace
for the next hour.
When an hour feels like too much,
give me grace
for the next breath.

Protect my heart
from bitterness
and my mind
from spiraling.
Let my light
keep shining -
not because life is easy,
but because You
are with me
in the middle of the storm.

I trust
that You see all,
that You are working
behind the scenes,
and that in the right time
You will reveal
what I need to know.

I did not choose
an easy road,
but I choose You
again today.
Walk into this week
ahead of me,
beside me,
and within me.

Amen.

Carry this with you into Monday: you are not weak for feeling the weight of what you are walking through. You are strong for still being here, still choosing to move, and still daring to believe that God is writing something bigger than what you can see today.

With truth, courage, and grace,
Eugene 💘

🎧 Frequency Feature: Coming Home

Coming Home fits this Monday Morning Grace because it echoes the deeper journey beneath your storm: you are not just fighting battles, you are being led back home to your Divine Union - the place where your heart, calling, and covenant-level love finally align under God’s covering. Every time you choose to stand ten toes down in who He created you to be, refuse to quit, and keep your light shining, you are walking one step closer to that sacred homecoming - where you are fully seen, fully loved, and fully partnered in purpose, both with God and with the one He has set apart for you. 💘 Love doesn't need perfection as you are perfection in my eyes.

Your Journey Starts Here

Many have asked during my TikTok Lives how to begin their personal or spiritual journey. So far, I've explored and mapped the first three stages for those seeking alignment - the awakening, the journey inward, and the path forward.

These stages have brought profound clarity, and I'm grateful to share what I've discovered along the way.

There are still a few details unfolding, but trust that everything is aligning in its own time - and you'll be the first to know when it's ready.

Remember, this is self-love being transmuted into art; growth takes time, and you can't rush an actual journey, beautiful souls. In due time, all the right energy falls into place. Just have faith. Hold the vision.
