Monday Morning Grace: The Grace of the Unfinished Beginning
When life looks nothing like you planned and the pressure feels heavy on every side, you are still allowed to begin again. Stand ten toes down in God, discern who truly walks with you, and just start somewhere - one honest, aligned step at a time.
Happy Monday, beautiful souls.
Some seasons arrive that you never penciled into your plans. You wake up and realize your life, your relationships, your surroundings do not look like what you once envisioned. It can feel disorienting, even unfair - like you have been dropped into a chapter you did not choose. Yet even here, in this unexpected place, grace is still present and God is still intentional.
There is a quiet pressure to have everything figured out before you move. To know the five-year plan, to map every step, to be certain about every person in your circle before you dare to begin. But faith is not built on having all the answers; it is built on trusting God enough to start with what you do know and to let Him illuminate the rest as you go. His word is described as a lamp to your feet and a light to your path - enough light for the next step, not always the entire road (Psalm 119:105).
You do not have to see the whole map to move. You do not have to wait until your heart stops trembling to take the first step. You are allowed to begin from an unfinished, uncertain, “I did not expect to be here” kind of place. Heaven does not despise small beginnings; the Lord rejoices to see the work begin (Zechariah 4:10).
Just start somewhere.
That “somewhere” may feel humble, messy, or unclear - a new boundary, a new application, a new habit, a new prayer. The day of small things is still holy because God moves through honest starts, not polished perfection. Every act of obedience in this season, especially when you do not have it all figured out, is a seed sown into your future.
When the pressure feels unbearable
If you find yourself in a tough season where the pressure feels insurmountable - hit from every side, misunderstood, stretched, and worn - this is not the moment to fold. This is the moment to stand ten toes down in who God says you are. Plant your feet, anchor your spirit in the Lord, and remind your soul: I am not built on people’s opinions. I am held by God’s hand and f*** anyone who gets in my way.
In seasons like this, you are allowed to let people’s access expire. You do not owe constant proximity to anyone who mocks your boundaries, drains your energy, or delights in your struggle. Without cursing your enemies or calling names, you can release them from the front row of your life and let them sit in the cheap seats where they belong. Not everyone is qualified to speak into a life they are secretly rooting against.
Standing firm does not mean becoming harsh; it means becoming clear. You can bless people and still back up. You can love people and still refuse to carry their projections. Tell the energy that belittles you, manipulates you, or tries to break you: You no longer have authority or access here. Let your “kick rocks” be the holy distance, the blocked number, the new boundary, the sacred silence that honors your peace.
Evaluating who walks with you
As you begin again, there is another layer of grace you cannot ignore: the grace of discernment. Not every person, place, or pattern currently in your life is aligned with your highest good or with God’s purpose for you. Scripture urges you to guard your heart above all else, because everything you do flows from it (Proverbs 4:23); what and who you allow close shapes the very course of your life.
This is not about becoming suspicious; it is about becoming spiritually awake. Some people are assignments from God, sent to sharpen, support, and stretch you. Others are distractions or drains, attached to your comfort, your gifting, or your access but not your growth. It becomes your sacred responsibility to discern who carries true intentions toward your soul and who does not.
To walk wisely, you must learn to read energy and fruit, not just words. Aligned connections tend to bear fruit like peace, clarity, accountability, and mutual honor over time. Misaligned connections often reveal themselves through cycles of confusion, constant depletion, manipulation, or a repeated push away from what God is asking of you. Jesus taught that you will recognize people by their fruits, inviting you to pay attention to patterns rather than appearances (Matthew 7).
The sooner you accept that discernment is part of your daily walk, the freer you become. You stop handing front-row seats in your life to people who have not shown they can handle your heart. You stop confusing shared history with divine assignment. You realize that guarding your heart is not a lack of love; it is love directed with wisdom.
A Gentle Monday Practice: Just Start, With Discernment
If you want to live this out instead of only nodding along, here is a simple practice for today:
1. Name your “here.”
Find a quiet spot - your kitchen table, your car before heading in, your favorite corner of the couch. Take a few deep breaths, then honestly name where you are in this season: emotionally, spiritually, relationally. No filters, no performance. This is your starting ground, and God is not afraid of your truth. Come messy he could care less.
2. Take inventory: people, places, and things.
On paper or in your notes app, create three headings: “People,” “Places,” and “Patterns/Things.” Under each, list what is currently present in your life - key relationships, environments you spend time in, habits, commitments, and rhythms. As you look at each one, gently ask: “Does this draw me closer to God and to my true self, or does it drain, distract, or diminish me?” Let your body and spirit answer honestly.
3. Listen for the fruit, not the noise.
Next to each item, jot a word that describes the fruit it produces in your life: peace, anxiety, growth, stagnation, clarity, confusion, joy, resentment. This is you learning to read energy through the lens of spiritual fruit. Over time, healthy connections and aligned spaces tend to produce good fruit; unhealthy ones tend to produce turmoil, even if the surface looks appealing (Galatians 5).
4. Surrender what is not yours to fix.
For the people and patterns that clearly do not serve your highest good, whisper a prayer: “God, show me how to release or redefine this.” You are not called to force change in others or rescue every situation. You are called to guard your heart, walk in love, and obey God’s leading. Some connections may need distance, some may need boundaries, and some may simply need to be blessed and released.
5. Choose one faithful step today.
Now, choose one small, concrete step that honors what you just discovered. Maybe it is saying “no” to an invite that always leaves you drained. Maybe it is sending the message to start something new. Maybe it is finally blocking a number, making a therapy appointment, or opening your Bible instead of reopening an old door. Let that one step be your “somewhere” for today. God rejoices to see the work begin (Zechariah 4:10).
You do not have to overhaul your whole life in one week. You are simply asked to take the next aligned step with God - even if it feels small, even if you feel unsure, even if this season is not what you planned. Small, faithful steps are how destinies are built.
The Reflection
Where have you been waiting to “figure everything out” before you move, when God is simply inviting you to begin? Where are you tolerating energy, environments, or relationships that your spirit has already outgrown?
Let those questions sit with you this week. They may touch your business, your friendships, your healing journey, or your spiritual practice. They may invite you to revisit earlier reflections on protecting your peace and returning to your baseline, not from shame, but from gratitude for how far you have already come.
You are not behind because you are re-evaluating; you are aligning. Sometimes the holiest thing you can do is to begin again with clearer eyes, a guarded heart, and a braver “yes” to the path God is actually illuminating in front of you.
Scripture to Reflect On
“Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.”
Psalm 119:105
“Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin.”
Zechariah 4:10
“Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.”
Proverbs 4:23
The Grace
Today, let your “unfinished” be your opening. Let your willingness to start - even here, even now, even with questions - be your act of courage. You are allowed to evaluate your circle, honor your discernment, and choose environments that match the frequency of where God is taking you, not just where you have been.
You are not called to carry everyone or everything into your next chapter. You are called to walk in alignment with God, ten toes down, one clear, honest step at a time. Just start somewhere, beautiful soul. That is more than enough for today.
“Soli Deo Gloria.”

A Prayer for Unfinished Beginnings and Clear Discernment
God of new beginnings,
thank You for meeting me right here, even in a season I did not plan.
Thank You that I do not have to have it all figured out for You to be faithful.
Today, I surrender the illusion of control.
I release the pressure to know every answer, fix every outcome,
and carry people and situations You never asked me to hold.
Teach me to trust You with the parts of my story that feel confusing, delayed, or disappointing.
Anchor me in Your presence when the pressure feels heavy on every side.
Help me stand ten toes down in who You say I am,
rooted in Your love, not in other people’s opinions or expectations.
Remind me that one honest, aligned step with You
is more powerful than a hundred frantic ones without You.
Lord, sharpen my discernment.
Open my eyes to see the fruit, not just the words,
and give me the courage to recognize who truly walks for my highest good
and who does not.
Show me which relationships, environments, and habits are aligned with Your purpose,
and which ones I need to redefine, release, or love from a distance.
Where I have tolerated energy that diminishes me,
give me holy boldness to set boundaries, create space, and choose peace.
Guard my heart while keeping it soft.
Let my love be wise, and my wisdom be saturated in love.
Today, I ask for just one clear next step.
Illuminate the path right in front of me,
and give me the strength to be faithful with that step.
Bless my small beginning, Lord.
Let it be a seed that You water, grow, and multiply in Your perfect timing.
In every twist and turn, in every loss and every new start,
let my life echo this truth:
I am guided, I am protected, and I am never walking alone.
In Jesus’ name, amen.

Your Journey Starts Here
Many have asked during my TikTok Lives how to begin their personal or spiritual journey. So far, I've explored and mapped the first three stages for those seeking alignment - the awakening, the journey inward, and the path forward.
These stages have brought profound clarity, and I'm grateful to share what I've discovered along the way.
There are still a few details unfolding, but trust that everything is aligning in its own time - and you'll be the first to know when it's ready.
Remember, this is love being transmuted into art; growth takes time, and you can't rush an actual journey, beautiful souls. In due time, all the right energy falls into place. Just have faith. Hold the vision.
I’ve survived fires far hotter than this and only grown stronger. When the truth you owe this world remains unpaid, you may rest easy for a while, but God always collects. He is guiding my vision now, and nothing hidden stays hidden forever. Enjoy your borrowed time.
