Monday Morning Grace: Wielding Your Energy
Beginning the week with grace, faith, and the power of intentional energy to build the life you are called to live.

Opening Whisper

Every morning is grace. A soft invitation to begin again, to choose alignment, and to remember that the energy you carry today is shaping the life you will live tomorrow. How you start your week matters. When you root yourself in faith and wield your energy with intention, you begin to build the life God has called you to live. At times, it can be a lonely road.

The Fire That Moves Me

Three years ago, I made a choice that changed everything. I uprooted my life from my hometown and moved to Florida. It was one of the hardest sacrifices I’ve ever made, a decision that created a physical distance from my two boys, now fifteen and twelve. That ache has never left me, but it is also the fire that pushes me forward. Every intentional step I take is for them - to build a life of freedom and peace that they will one day inherit.

Florida forced me to sit with myself and face my pain instead of numbing it with addiction. Healing was not found in avoidance. It was found in presence. By sitting with my messy emotions, I discovered that growth begins in the very places I once tried to run from.

This journey also reconnected me with my best friend, a soul who has always walked in tandem with me. We’ve known it since we were kids, but with age and wisdom, I see it clearly now. Working with him has taught us how much energy we wield daily and how crucial it is to wield it with intention.

We are opposites in many ways. Where I fall short, his strength rises. Where he struggles, my strength steadies. Our styles are different, but different is not wrong. It is balance. And when balance meets intention, the ground beneath you shifts. (We may not always see eye-to-eye and there are times when we rub each other the wrong way, but it is all love at the end of the day, period)

The life you dream of is built from the energy you steward today.

My Awakening and the Anchor of Faith

Faith has been my anchor my entire life, even when I wasn’t awake enough to recognize it. But in the last year, something profound shifted. God opened my eyes completely. I began seeking Jesus with a new hunger, not just believing in Him but studying His footsteps. I wanted to know His life, His way, and His rhythm.

That awakening changed how I wield my energy. It is no longer scattered, reckless, or reactive. It is rooted in purpose. Every choice is now an act of faith, every word an offering, and every prayer a reminder that God is present in the small moments as well as the great.

Small steps, strung together in faith, lead to extraordinary harvests.

Daily Practices for Intentional Energy

When I talk about being intentional with your energy, I mean putting these practices into action:

  • Ground your body: Feel the weight of stillness by connecting with the earth and remembering that you are held. This is where presence begins.
  • Seek His Word: Let scripture shape your perspective before the world tries to. God’s truth must be the lens through which you see.
  • Journal and pray: Empty your heart onto the page and lift it to the One who knows you best. This is how you process pain and turn it into prayer.
  • Speak life: Refuse to curse your own future with doubt or negativity. Words carry power - use them to build, not destroy.
  • See through different lenses: Remember that a different perspective is not wrong, just different. Often, it is the very thing that brings balance.

This is how I wield energy. These are the seeds that, over time, shift timelines and open futures.

Anchored in Scripture

“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” Galatians 6:9

“The Lord makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him.” Psalm 37:23

“They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles.” Isaiah 40:31

A Message for My Sons

To my boys: guard your hearts and your minds closely. People will always tell you what they think is best for your life, but only you can walk the path God has set before you. Follow your heart. Trust your soul. Root every step in faith.

Learn to sit with your body, because it will tell you what it needs. I no longer eat because I want to eat - I eat because my body tells me when it needs food. Society will try to dictate what you should eat, when you should eat, and how you should live. If you let it, the world will numb you with noise. But if you listen to your body, you will discover a strength and clarity most people never touch.

We are all addicts to some extent. It may not be drugs. It may be food, money, approval, or distraction. Addiction is anything we use to escape ourselves. But when you learn to sit still and feel what your body and spirit are asking of you, you become powerful beyond measure.

Everything you need is already within you. True happiness will never come from anything external. It will always come from the quiet confidence of knowing who you are in God.

Reflection Questions

• Where am I numbing instead of feeling
• What energy am I planting today for tomorrow’s harvest
• How can I root my choices more deeply in faith this week
• What one small act of intentional energy can I carry into today

Soul Prayer

Lord, thank You for the gift of energy, presence, and time. Teach me to steward my life with intention. Strengthen me to keep planting, even when the harvest feels far away. Awaken me daily to Your presence and let my steps follow Your Son’s example. Renew my courage to rise again this week. Amen.

Closing Whisper: Keep Becoming

Sweet soul, grace is already here. Wield your energy with intention. Plant faithfully. Keep showing up. You cannot fail if you refuse to stop.

You can only fail if you stop. Never stop. Keep becoming.

Much love and encouragement,
Eugene
