The Practice of Slow Living and Spiritual Discernment

Life will always be noisy. Tasks pile up, worries press in, and relationships can become complex. In your search for harmony, remember: you are allowed to choose carefully who you share your energy with. Discernment means honoring your boundaries and only aligning with those who support your core values. You can spend years trying to help others come into alignment, but if their heart isn’t willing, your energy is better spent in prayer and personal growth.

The Power of Solo Journeying

For the past 8 years, I’ve walked a solo path. There were seasons it felt lonely, but honestly? I wouldn’t trade the growth, clarity, or intimacy with Jesus I’ve gained for anything else. Sometimes, God invites us to step back from the noise and the crowd - not as a punishment, but as a sacred season of renewal.

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”

Aligning Heart, Mind, and Soul

This weekend, let your only focus be your relationship with Jesus. If someone, or even your own self-talk, tries to disrupt your peace or distract you from soul-led alignment - choose to come back to your baseline. Write out your values. Reflect on the kind of energy you seek and the faith you want to foster.

You are beloved, worthy, and allowed to rest. You don’t have to fix everyone or force togetherness - just abide in the peace only Christ provides. The deeper you align with Him, the less the chaos outside can shake you inside.

“You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.”
