Sacred Saturday: The Water Will Not Have the Final Word
Life can put you in waters you never chose, but you do not have to drown quietly. This Sacred Saturday reflection offers faith, wisdom, support, and courage for taking the next faithful step.
God does not promise a life without deep water. He promises His presence when the current is strong, the path is unclear, and you are doing everything you can simply to stay afloat.
Beautiful souls,
life can put you in waters you never volunteered to enter.
Some waves arrive without warning.
A phone call changes everything.
A relationship reveals a truth you were not prepared to see.
A loss leaves you trying to remember how to breathe.
A season becomes more expensive, more painful, more complicated, or more lonely than anyone gave you a heads-up about.
And sometimes the hardest part is not just what happened. It is realizing that the world can be more cutthroat than you imagined. People can choose self-interest over honesty. They can see someone struggling and still decide that helping is too inconvenient. They can know what is right and choose what benefits them instead.
That is a painful lesson.
But it is also a lesson that can make you wiser without making you cold.
You may not have been able to choose the water you entered. But you can learn how to move through it without letting it take your life, your faith, your softness, or your future.
You do not have to prove your strength by drowning quietly.
The Water Is Real
Faith is not pretending the water is shallow when it is not.
Faith is not forcing a smile while your body is exhausted and your heart is hurting.
Faith is not telling yourself that every painful thing happened for a reason you can explain today.
Faith is looking honestly at the storm and saying, God, I need You here.
The promise of Scripture is not that we will never face hardship. The promise is that hardship does not have the authority to separate us from God’s presence.
“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you.” - Isaiah 43:2, NIV
Notice the language: when you pass through the waters.
Not if.
Not because you failed.
Not because God forgot you.
When.
There are waters we all face: grief, change, betrayal, disappointment, fear, illness, financial pressure, family strain, unanswered questions, and the private battles no one else sees.
But “through” matters too.
The water is not your permanent address.
The river is not the end of your story.
You are passing through, even when it feels slow.
Swim With Wisdom
There is a difference between pushing through and punishing yourself.
Pushing through means taking the next faithful stroke.
Punishing yourself means believing you must solve everything alone, carry every burden, and never let anyone see you struggle.
Beautiful soul, you do not have to do that.
Sometimes swimming looks like getting out of bed and tending to the one task that belongs to today.
Sometimes it looks like telling the truth about how overwhelmed you feel.
Sometimes it looks like making the appointment, asking the question, taking a walk, drinking water, or praying before you respond.
Sometimes it looks like sleeping.
Sometimes it looks like placing a boundary between you and what keeps pulling you under.
The strongest people are not always the ones who push hardest. Often, they are the ones who learn when to rest, when to ask for help - if your blessed enough to get help, when to release what is beyond their control, and when to stop calling exhaustion a badge of honor.
You can be resilient and still need support.
You can be faithful and still need a pause.
You can be strong and still say, I cannot carry this alone.
You Cannot Make Everyone Drink
There are people we want to help so badly.
We want them to tell the truth.
We want them to take responsibility.
We want them to choose healing over harm, honesty over avoidance, and courage over what is convenient.
We may offer wisdom. We may offer understanding. We may point them toward help. We may keep hoping that love will finally be enough to make them see what they are doing.
But there comes a point where we have to accept a difficult truth:
You can lead a horse to water, but you cannot make it drink.
You can offer someone a path toward growth, but you cannot walk it for them.
You can show up with care, but you cannot force someone to value it.
You can tell the truth, but you cannot make someone receive it.
You can extend forgiveness, but you cannot make someone become safe.
Let that truth free you from a burden that was never yours to carry.
Your responsibility is not to save people who refuse to participate in their own healing.
Your responsibility is to stay connected to God, honor your values, protect your peace, and keep choosing the next wise step in front of you.
Do Not Swim Alone
There is courage in carrying your own responsibilities. But there is no prize for isolation.
God often sends help through safe people, trained professionals, wise mentors, faith communities, supportive family members, friends, and the brave moment when we decide to say, I need someone beside me right now.
Scripture tells us:
“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” - Galatians 6:2, NIV
Being supported does not mean you are weak.
It means you are human.
And offering support does not always mean fixing someone’s life. Sometimes it means listening without judgment. Checking in. Sitting with someone while they make a difficult call. Helping them find trustworthy resources. Praying with them. Reminding them that their life is worth protecting.
If you are in deep water today, identify one safe person - I pray You have One.
Not everyone needs access to your story. But someone trustworthy may be able to help you carry a corner of what feels too heavy.
The Storm Does Not Define You
What happened may have changed you.
It may have made you more alert, more cautious, more tired, or more aware of what you will never again tolerate.
But it does not have to define you.
You are not only the person who was hurt.
You are also the person who kept going.
The person who learned.
The person who found a way to breathe again.
The person who asked for help.
(all I received was projection and manipulation when I asked for Help - not a single attorney would take a case where I had to walk away from the Job I loved because I was being accused of being on substances while they were allegedly stealing my intellectual property and profiting off of my creation and impact - trying to control MY reality by manipulating everyone around Me - a failed destiny swap if you will trying to manipulate Me out of My destiny allegedly - no thanks - people need to start answering the easy questions)
The person who chose not to repeat what harmed them.
The person who kept reaching for light, even when the water was dark.
God is not absent because your life has been difficult. He is not waiting for you to become perfectly composed before He comes near.
“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.” - Psalm 46:1, NIV
An ever-present help.
Not a distant observer.
Not a reward for people who never struggle.
A refuge.
A strength.
A help in trouble.

🎵 “Vikings Calling” - Coree Musis
Sometimes healing asks you to remember the strength that was always inside you.
“Vikings Calling” carries the sound of awakening: a steady, cinematic call to stand up, breathe deeply, and meet the hard season with courage. Released in 2026, the track brings an intense, rhythmic atmosphere that fits a Sacred Saturday devoted to enduring the water without letting the water define you.
Sacred Saturday Frequency
Beautiful souls, listen for the warrior within - not a warrior who needs to fight everyone around them, but the one who refuses to surrender their spirit to what hurt them.
Your inner Viking is the part of you that keeps standing when life gets rough.
The part that learns from the storm rather than becoming the storm.
The part that knows healing is not passive. It is a daily decision to turn pain into wisdom, grief into compassion, and scars into proof that you made it through.
Let the drums remind you that the energy of your story can be transmuted.
What tried to break you can become discernment.
What exhausted you can teach you to rest.
What isolated you can guide you toward safer community.
What made you feel powerless can become the moment you remember your voice, your boundaries, and your God-given strength.
You do not have to stay the same shape the storm left you in.
This is your call to Rise - not with rage, not with revenge, and not by pretending the pain never happened. Rise with Truth. Rise with wise support. Rise with the faith that God is still present in the deep water and still able to create something life-giving from what you survived.
Frequency Declaration
I hear the call to Rise. I release the weight that tried to sink me, and I transmute my pain into wisdom, courage, and compassion. My spirit is not defeated. With God beside me, I will keep moving, keep healing, and keep becoming the person the storm could not destroy.
Sacred Saturday Practice
Before this day ends, take a moment to ask yourself:
- What water am I trying to navigate right now?
- What part of this is mine to address today?
- What am I trying to force that needs to be released?
- Who is a safe person I can ask for support?
- What is one next stroke I can take before I rest?
Then remind yourself:
You do not have to swim the entire ocean tonight.
You only have to take the next faithful stroke.
Sacred Saturday Declaration
I will not drown quietly. I will tell the truth about the water I am in, receive the help God sends, and take the next wise step. I release the people and outcomes I cannot force. The storm is real, but it will not define me. God is with me in the deep water, and the water will not have the final word.
Beautiful soul, keep swimming.
Rest when you need to.
Reach for help when the current is too strong.
And trust that even here, even now, God is holding you more securely than the water can pull you under. We will always keep shining despite natural conflict - don't dim your Light for anybody and walk alone if you must. People will Rise to your Values or fall away - their choice.
