Sunday Soul Food - When Betrayal Tries to Rewrite Your Story

This Sunday Soul Food names the weight of betrayal when every area of life feels sabotaged - and then chooses “mindset over mess.” With God, you can stand in the middle of gas-lighting and fear, stay rooted in truth and peace, and let your clarity outshine their chaos.

Sunday Soul Food - When Betrayal Tries to Rewrite Your Story
Sunday Soul Food: standing in the middle of betrayal, gaslighting, and sabotage, choosing a mindset anchored in God’s truth and peace instead of the mess.

When Betrayal Touches Every Corner of Your Life

There is a particular heaviness that comes when betrayal doesn’t just hit one area of your life - it hits all of them.
Home life, work life, love life, finances, opportunities, friendships - every space that should feel like a blessing starts to feel tampered with, nudged, or torn apart by invisible hands.
It’s like there are vultures circling every good thing I manifest, waiting to swoop in and steal it the moment God releases it into my life.

That’s what my previous situation felt like.
Not a random hard season, but intentional sabotage.
Obstacles placed in my path not by accident, but by design, in environments where the amount of money and power at stake is astronomical.
And then, when I ask questions - reasonable, human questions - they flip the script, paint me as “unstable,” whisper words like “psychosis,” and act like I'm the problem for noticing the patterns.

“He that speaketh truth sheweth forth righteousness: but a false witness deceit.”
Proverbs 12:17 (KJV)

I am not crazy for telling the truth.
Their gas-lighting does not erase what my spirit has already discerned.

Gaslighting, Projection, and Holy Clarity

Gas lighting is one of the enemy’s favorite tools.
He loves to make you doubt what you see, question what you feel, and second‑guess what God already told you.
It shows up as:

  • People pretending nothing is wrong while everything around you is shifting.
  • Leaders minimizing experiences, or labeling your discernment as instability.
  • Friends going quiet when you need them most, as if they’ve been warned not to get “too close.”

Meanwhile, I'm over here feeling more clear, more awake, and more aligned than I’ve ever been.
I know who I am.
I know I'm better than ever - emotionally, spiritually, and mentally.
And I know, without a doubt, there are some questions that still need answers from those who went out of their way to cause destruction and intentional trauma in my life.

“Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness…”
Isaiah 5:20 (KJV)

When people label your clarity as confusion and your discernment as delusion, it doesn’t change the truth.
It just exposes how invested they are in keeping darkness hidden.

When Your Shine Exposes Their Shadows

Let’s be honest: some of the backlash I’ve experienced is not because I did something wrong - but because I started shining as I was always intended to.
My presence, my influence, my words, my authenticity - they act like floodlights in rooms that were comfortable staying dim.

I didn’t try to expose anything.
I was simply being myself.
But when I walk into a space with a pure heart, a sharp spirit, and a calling on my life, anything crooked around me starts to look extra crooked.
And instead of repenting, some people choose to attack.

Are they really that sick that they had to go after every area of my life - home, work, love, finances - just to try to keep me from becoming who God called me to be?
The short answer is: broken people do broken things. Hurt people hurt people.
But their brokenness does not get the last word over my story.

“No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord…”
Isaiah 54:17 (KJV)

Weapons formed? Yes.
Weapons prospering? Absolutely not.
My heritage is protection, vindication, and ultimate restoration.

Transmuting Betrayal Into Soul Food

Transmuting betrayal doesn’t mean pretending it didn’t happen.
It means refusing to let it define you.
It’s the process of letting God touch the wound so deeply that what was meant to destroy you becomes nourishment - soul food - for the next part of your journey.

That looks like:

  • Turning accusation into intercession (“God, deal with this, but don’t let my heart rot with bitterness”).
  • Turning gaslighting into grounding (“What did You show me, Lord? What do You say is true?”).
  • Turning sabotage into strategy (“Teach me how to move now that I’ve seen how far they’re willing to go”).

I don’t deny the trauma; I hand it over.
I let God recycle the pain into wisdom, boundaries, courage, and a testimony that feeds others who have been through similar storms.

“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”
Romans 8:28 (KJV)

“All things” includes betrayal, gas-lighting, and sabotage.
God doesn’t approve of it - but He absolutely refuses to waste it.

Sunday Soul Food Practice – Grounding Yourself After Betrayal

As you step into a new week, here are a few simple practices to ground your soul:

  1. Name what was real.
Write down specific ways betrayal showed up - at home, at work, in love. Let yourself honor your own reality.
  2. Separate who you are from what they did.
Say out loud: “Their actions are not a reflection of my worth, stability, or sanity.”
  3. Ask God for His narrative.
Pray: “Jesus, what do You call this season? What do You call me in it?” Listen for words like “protected,” “set apart,” “refined,” “anointed.”
  4. Bless your own shine.
Instead of dimming down to keep others comfortable, thank God for the influence He’s given you. Ask Him to purify and aim it, not shrink it.
  5. Release revenge, hold onto justice.
Trust that God will deal with every hidden thing in His timing, but ask Him to keep your heart clean in the process.

Closing Whisper

God,

This week, my soul is heavy with the weight of betrayal.
You see how it hasn’t just hit one area, but every area—home, work, love, finances, opportunities, even the blessings You sent my way.
You saw the invisible hands that tried to sabotage connections, steal favor, and twist the story.

You also saw the gaslighting - the way people acted like nothing was happening while my spirit screamed that everything was off.
You heard the labels, the whispers, the attempts to call me unstable when I was actually becoming more clear and more whole than I’ve ever been.

Today, I give You the hurt and the anger.
I give You every moment I was made to feel crazy for seeing what was real.
I ask You to transmute this betrayal into something holy: wisdom, discernment, deeper compassion, and unshakable confidence in who I am in You.

If my shine exposed darkness, thank You for the light You put in me.
Keep me from shrinking, hardening, or becoming what hurt me.
Teach me how to set fierce boundaries while still keeping a soft heart.

Deal with every plot, every lie, and every hidden scheme in Your way and in Your timing.
Let the truth rise, let my name be cleared where it needs to be, and let my life testify that no weapon formed against Your children will prosper.

As I walk into this new week, feed my soul with Your peace.
Ground me in Your love, anchor me in Your truth, and remind me that I was always meant to shine - no matter who tried to switch off the lights.

In Jesus’ name,
Amen.

You are not behind... you are not lost... just keep transmuting.

EugeniasThought: Keep Rising and Shining Beautiful Souls 💘

When you are in alignment the universe will respond but you have to have patience (this is hard for me) and Trust that God is working everything out for your good. The goodness is in route just stand 10 toes down and hold the vision.

God watches and sees all - do not ever put me in a position where I have to call judgement on a situation - that isn't fair to anyone involved when we could have all worked together to begin with

Every word is a whisper of intention, carved in stillness and light.

Your Journey Starts Here

Many have asked during my TikTok Lives how to begin their personal or spiritual journey. So far, I've explored and mapped the first three stages for those seeking alignment - the awakening, the journey inward, and the path forward.

These stages have brought profound clarity, and I'm grateful to share what I've discovered along the way.

There are still a few details unfolding, but trust that everything is aligning in its own time - and you'll be the first to know when it's ready.

Remember, this is love being transmuted into art; growth takes time, and you can't rush an actual journey, beautiful souls. In due time, all the right energy falls into place. Just have faith. Hold the vision.
