Surprise Sunday: A Thank-You Letter to Everyone Who Shaped Me

This Surprise Sunday is not a lesson. It is a letter. A heartfelt thank-you to the ones who loved me well, the ones who taught me what love is not, the seasons that broke me open, and the One who never left, plus how one grateful heart can ripple around the world.

Surprise Sunday: A Thank-You Letter to Everyone Who Shaped Me
One grateful heart can send a ripple around the world.
Whisper: Gratitude is the overflow of a restored soul.

Good morning, beautiful soul.

This Sunday, I am doing something different. There is no lesson today and no list of steps to follow. Just a letter.

All week, we walked with the Shepherd. We followed His voice out of the crowded pen and lay down in green pastures. And right after the pasture, Psalm 23 tells us what comes next.

"You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows." (Psalm 23:5)

My cup is overflowing this morning. So I sat down at the table He prepared, and I wrote a thank-you letter to everyone and everything that brought me here.

To the Ones Who Loved Me Well

"I thank my God every time I remember you." (Philippians 1:3)

Thank you for believing in me before I believed in myself. Thank you for the phone calls that came at just the right time, the meals you shared, the prayers you whispered when I did not even know I needed them.

Thank you for staying when it would have been easier to leave. Thank you for seeing the light in me when I was standing in the dark. Some of you will never know how much a single kind word carried me through a whole season. I know. And I will never forget it.

To the Ones Who Taught Me What Love Is Not

This part of the letter may surprise you, but I mean every word.

Thank you.

You taught me boundaries. You taught me discernment. You taught me to recognize the difference between someone who wants my presence and someone who wants my usefulness. You taught me my worth by showing me what it felt like to have it ignored.

I am not thanking you for the pain. I am thanking God for what He built in me through it. What was meant for harm became the very thing that grew me.

"Bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you." (Luke 6:28)

So I bless you. I pray for you. And I release you. You were part of my story, but you do not get to be the ending.

To the Seasons That Broke Me Open

To the towers that fell, thank you. To the businesses I lost, the plans that crumbled, the nights I could not sleep, and the days I did not know how I would keep going, thank you.

You stripped away everything that was not built to last. You emptied my hands so God could fill them with something real. You broke me open, and in the breaking, the light finally got in.

I would not choose to walk through you again. But I would not trade who I became because of you.

To the Man I Used to Be

Thank you for surviving.

You did not always know what to do. You trusted people who did not deserve it. You stayed too long, gave too much, and carried more than anyone should have to carry. But you never stopped loving. You never stopped getting back up. You kept going when nobody was clapping.

I honor you. I am not ashamed of you. Everything good in my life today was built on the ground you refused to give up. You can rest now. I have got it from here.

To the One Who Never Left

And finally, to You, Lord.

Thank You for being there in every chapter, even the ones I thought I was writing alone. Thank You for the pasture and the quiet waters. Thank You for the table You prepared in the presence of everything that tried to break me. Thank You for filling my cup until it overflowed.

I have found happiness, and I know exactly where it came from.

"Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever." (Psalm 23:6)

With all my heart,
Eugenia

Your Surprise Sunday Practice

Today, write your own thank-you letter. It does not have to be long, and no one ever has to read it. Just write a few lines to each of these:

  1. Someone who loved you well.
  2. Someone who taught you what love is not.
  3. A season that broke you open.
  4. The person you used to be.
  5. The One who never left.

Then read it out loud, and notice how much lighter you feel.

Note from Eugenia

Beautiful soul, gratitude does not mean everything that happened was okay. It means you are no longer carrying it the same way. When you can look back over the whole road and say thank you, that is how you know the healing is real. Your table is set. Your cup is full. Sit down and enjoy it.

"The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; surely I have a delightful inheritance." (Psalm 16:6)

Frequency Feature: "Global Frequency Shift" by Upper Vibe Media Presents and iami

Here is what I have learned on this journey: when you change your frequency, you change your life. And when you change your life, you leave a legacy far beyond anything you could ever understand.

You may never see every life your healing touches. The person who reads your story at 2 AM. The child who watches you choose peace instead of pain. The stranger who feels lighter just being near you. One raised frequency ripples outward into families, into communities, and into generations not yet born.

"Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven." (Matthew 5:16)

And this morning, my heart is full of gratitude for the place I get to shine that light. If you live in America, you live in a country I truly believe is the greatest on the face of this Earth. A nation built by dreamers, defended by the brave, and still filled with people who show up for one another when it matters most. I do not take that blessing for granted.

But this shift is bigger than any one country, and bigger than any one story. All over the world, people are waking up. They are transmuting their pain, tuning themselves higher, and choosing love over fear. When enough hearts rise together, the whole world begins to vibrate at a new frequency.

We did not come this far to only come this far. We came this far because we are part of something much bigger: a global frequency shift, one healed heart at a time.

That is why today's Frequency Feature is "Global Frequency Shift" from Upper Vibe Media Presents and iami. The song carries the high-vibe energy of a collective rising, and it is the perfect soundtrack for anyone ready to raise their frequency and help lift the world with them.

So turn it up. Thank God for the whole road. And remember that your healing is never just for you. It is your legacy.
