The Roads That Lead Me Home
There will never be another place like home - but you’ll never truly understand that until you leave, live beyond it, and find your way back again.

A Soul Letter from Indiana
There will never be another place like home.
But you’ll never truly understand that until you leave it, live beyond it, and then find your way back again.
Yesterday evening, I landed in Indiana.
Back to my tribe.
Back to the souls who know me beyond the surface - who see me to my core without me having to explain a thing.
Florida has given me growth.
But Indiana? Indiana is roots.
When I stepped off that plane, I was overwhelmed with love.
Because I knew what was waiting for me:
my favorite people on this earth.
The ones who understand me on a level beyond words.
In Florida, I have two friends like that.
In Indiana, I have an entire table full.
Time Over Money
I thought about my own childhood with my dad.
We didn’t have money growing up - but we had time.
We had ball games, boating trips, backyard adventures, and the kind of fun that doesn’t cost a dime.
My kids haven’t had much of either for almost three years now.
I took a pay cut to chase an opportunity that’s starting to bear fruit.
I can’t get those years back - but I can be present now.
Because if you think money is more important than time, you’ve got a few screws loose.
Money is just a tool to buy your time back.
Because without time, you are a slave to the clock - and that’s not living.
What Home Teaches You
Home is more than geography.
It’s the smell of August corn with the windows down.
It’s a sky so wide it makes you feel small and safe at the same time.
It’s where real men are still grown by hard work and struggle.
If I could tell my kids - or anyone reading this - one truth about home, it’s this:
There will never be a better feeling than coming home on a late summer evening in Indiana.
But you still need to leave.
You need to get out of your hometown and experience the vastness of this world.
Because only then will you understand how much your roots matter.

The Circle of Leaving and Returning
I left Indiana to build something bigger than myself.
And now, being back, I’m reminded that my worth was never in the places I went or the titles I earned.
It’s in the people I’ve loved, the time I’ve invested, and the memories I’ve made.
Home doesn’t ask you to be anything you’re not.
It just asks you to show up.
Last night, I breathed that familiar Midwest air.
And I remembered that every road I take - no matter how far -
eventually leads me back here.
With all my heart,
Eugenia
