Truth-Telling Tuesday: Finding Healing in Honesty

Truth doesn’t chase - it waits. This reflection invites you to slow down, breathe, and remember that peace isn’t found in performance, but in honesty, presence, and surrender to God.

Truth-Telling Tuesday: Finding Healing in Honesty
The Quiet Voice of Truth - When God Whispers, Be Still.

Whisper in One Breath

“Slow your breath, place a hand on your heart, and let numbness soften into knowing.”

What Truth-Telling Looks Like in a Christian Life

Beautiful souls,

Truth doesn't chase - it waits. It sits quietly in the corners of our consciousness until we're ready to look. "Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." (John 8:32)

If you've been following this journey daily, you've had a front-row seat to what it looks like to transmute emotion in real time. Every word, every reflection, every whisper has been an act of reclaiming energy and wielding it intentionally. I am grounding daily, journaling in spirit and on paper, offering my body as a living sacrifice - imperfect, yet deeply intentional.

We've been distracted for too long. It's time to come home to yourself.

The Cost of Avoiding Truth

You can try to bury a truth. You can ignore it. You can pretend it isn't there. But, beautiful souls, it will eventually find its way to the surface. It shows up as restlessness, overthinking, or that quiet ache behind every smile.

I haven't been writing about truth because I've mastered it - I've been writing because my own soul needed to hear it. Speaking it aloud became the medicine. Truth is alignment, and Jesus is presence. He is within all of us.

Imagine being the most powerful creation on earth, yet forgetting who you are -and then, slowly, beginning to remember. "The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit." (Psalm 34:18)

The Gentle Confrontation

Last night, around 7:15-ish and again at 9:28 - my breath caught. It felt like panic, or maybe a holy interruption. I stepped outside with no phone, hand on heart. In two minutes, my breathing settled. It wasn’t anxiety; it was a nudge. Your presence is needed elsewhere. Truth rarely shouts; it whispers, Be still (Psalm 46:10, NIV). In the quiet, I sensed a redirection: get up from the computer and make space. I obeyed, and peace followed (Philippians 4:7, NIV). He really does “make straight your paths” when you submit your way to Him (Proverbs 3:5-6, NIV).

If you've experienced moments like this, you'll appreciate the insights in The Midweek Mirror: Returning to Stillness, where we explore what it means to release what we didn't know we were carrying.

"Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him." (Psalm 37:7)

The Freedom in Surrender

There was a truth I'd avoided - a truth that lived in silence for too long. When I finally gave it voice, clarity came instantly. Alignment followed like light through glass.

When you surrender the outcome of your life, there's a bliss that cannot be manufactured. Because no matter how this life unfolds, it will be beautiful.

Before surrender, I used to cling to control - tightly, fearfully, constantly trying to manage what was never mine to hold. After surrender came stillness. Peace moved in quietly, like dawn breaking after a long night.

For a deeper understanding of surrender and protecting your peace, explore how to discern when it's time to let go with love.

"You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you." (Isaiah 26:3)

A 60-Second Truth Alignment Practice

  1. Step outside or find stillness.
  2. Hand on heart, breathe slowly. "The breath of the Almighty gives me life." (Job 33:4)
  3. Remember: My soul is the program; my body is the vehicle.
  4. Ask: What truth am I avoiding?
  5. Speak it aloud to God. No filters. No fear.
  6. Whisper: "Your truth is my freedom." (John 8:32)
  7. Sit in silence. Let the stillness carry your honesty upward.

(If you've been exploring how to hold steady when the noise returns, this practice pairs beautifully with maintaining your faith frequency.)

Blessing + Weekly Soul Prompt

A Blessing for Your Week

May the truths you've buried rise gently to the surface.
May your honesty become the bridge back to your peace.
May the Spirit remind you that grace is not fragile - it's fierce in its gentleness.
May your shoulders lower. May your breath be steady.
And may you remember: your truth is not your enemy; it is your guide home.

"The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still." (Exodus 14:14)

This Week's Soul Prompt

What truth feels heavy right now?
Write it down, not to judge it - but to bring it into the light with love.
The moment you name it, it begins to lose its weight.

Scripture for Meditation

• John 8:32 - The truth shall set you free.
• Psalm 34:18 - The Lord is near to the brokenhearted.
• Isaiah 26:3 - Perfect peace for the steadfast.
• Psalm 37:7 - Be still before the Lord.
• Exodus 14:14 - The Lord will fight for you.

Closing Whisper

Slow down, beautiful souls.
You don’t have to figure it all out today.
Breathe. Feel the air enter your lungs - that’s grace meeting you where you are.

There is no race, no clock you’re behind on. Time belongs to God, and He’s never late.
The world will try to convince you that you’re running out of time, but heaven is unhurried.

Question everything.
Most things aren’t as they seem, and many people aren’t honest with themselves - so don’t be surprised when they can’t be honest with you.

Stay gentle. Stay aware.
Your only task right now is to be present with your breath, your truth, and your Creator.
That’s where alignment begins.

With love and truth,

Your Journey Starts Here

Many have asked during my TikTok Lives how to begin their personal or spiritual journey. So far, I've explored and mapped the first three stages for those seeking alignment - the awakening, the journey inward, and the path forward. These stages have brought profound clarity, and I'm grateful to share what I've discovered along the way.

There are still a few details unfolding, but trust that everything is aligning in its own time - and you'll be the first to know when it's ready.

Remember, this is love being transmuted into art; growth takes time, and you can't rush an actual journey, beautiful souls. In due time, all the right energy falls into place. Have faith - this was written in the stars before we got here. 🚀

Dominique Hammons’ “I Remember” echoes today’s theme - slow down, listen, and choose presence. The unhurried, spacious violin invites your hand-on-heart minute, helping you remember God’s faithfulness and notice the open doors already set before you.
