Truth-Telling Tuesday: Reading Fruit, Not Just Words
This Truth Telling Tuesday invites you to stop doubting what you see and start reading fruit instead of words. With Scripture and discernment, learn to recognize humiliation patterns, set holy boundaries, and step out of premeditated harm into freedom and clarity.
“Watch what they do,
not just what they say.”
That is the Truth-Telling Tuesday invitation for this week.
If your heart has been dragged through humiliation, betrayal, or orchestrated pain, this is your reminder: you are not crazy for noticing patterns, and God never asked you to ignore what people’s lives are shouting.
Truth-Telling Tuesday: Discernment Over Deception
Following Jesus is not about being naive; it is about walking in truth with love and clarity.
Scripture does not tell you to judge by appearances or smooth talk - it tells you to study fruit.
“By their fruit you will recognize them.” [Matthew 7:16–20]
That means:
- Look at how someone consistently treats people weaker than them.
- Watch what happens when you set a boundary.
- Pay attention to the wake their life leaves behind: healing or harm? peace or chaos?
Words can be rehearsed.
Fruit is harder to fake over time.
When the “Fruit” Is Humiliation
Sometimes the people causing the most damage wear familiar faces:
- Family who weaponize your past or your sensitivity.
- Groups or “communities” that unite around shaming you instead of supporting you.
- Companies or leaders who use control, gas-lighting, or public embarrassment to keep you small.
Whether or not they see it this way, the effect can feel like a humiliation ritual -repeated moments designed to strip your dignity, silence your voice, and make you doubt your own sanity.
God does not humiliate His children to heal them.
He restores, corrects, and convicts, but He does not play games with your dignity. [Psalm 34:4–5]
If a person, group, or workplace is:
- Consistently shaming you.
- Celebrating your pain.
- Thriving off your confusion or dependency.
That is rotten fruit, no matter how spiritual the language sounds. [James 3:13–16]
Seeing the Pattern Without Losing Yourself
In your healing journey, it can feel like everything was pre‑meditated - like forces have been lined up against you since birth to bind you and to silence anyone who dares stand for Truth alongside you.
Scripture does not minimize that sense of warfare.
“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy.” [John 10:10]
“We wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against… spiritual forces of evil.” [Ephesians 6:12]
There really is an enemy of your soul, and he would love to:
- Bind your voice.
- Break your trust.
- Turn you against anyone else who stands for truth.
But even when people cooperate with that darkness, they are not your final enemy - he is.
That distinction matters, because it keeps your heart from being fully shaped by hatred. [Romans 12:17–21]
You are allowed to say:
- “What happened to me was intentional and wrong.”
- “I see the pattern now.”
- “I refuse to keep playing the role they wrote for me.”
Naming the pattern is not bitterness; it is clarity.
Discernment: Studying Fruit Instead of Fixing People
Truth-Telling Tuesday is not about obsessing over everyone else’s flaws.
It is about finally allowing yourself to see what is real, so you can walk in freedom.
Practical ways to “study fruit”:
- Time over talk - Give more weight to what someone does consistently over months or years than to last night’s apology or this morning’s promise. [Proverbs 20:11]
- Impact over intent - They may insist “I didn’t mean it like that,” but how does their behavior actually impact your heart, your faith, your safety? [Proverbs 4:23]
- Patterns over moments - Everyone has bad days; discernment looks for long‑term patterns of humility, repentance, and growth - or the lack of it. [1 John 3:18]
You are not required to keep standing in the same fire just to “prove” you are forgiving.
Healthy forgiveness can include firm boundaries and, in some cases, distance. [Romans 12:18]
Truth-Telling Tuesday Practice
Here is a gentle way to work with this today:
1. Ask God for clear eyes.
Pray: “Lord, show me fruit. Let me see what is real, not just what I wish were true.” [James 1:5]
2. Make a fruit list.
For a person, group, or company that confuses you, divide a page into two columns: “What they say” and “What they consistently do.”
Let the list speak for itself. [Matthew 7:20]
3. Decide one boundary.
Ask, “Based on the fruit, what boundary honors God and protects my healing?”
It could be less contact, no private meetings, not sharing certain information, or stepping away entirely. [Proverbs 22:3]
4. Remember who you are.
Meditate on a verse that re‑anchors your identity, such as:
“You are precious and honored in My sight, and… I love you.” [Isaiah 43:4]
Return to it whenever old humiliation tapes start playing.
Truth-Telling Tuesday Prayer
Jesus,
You are the Truth. [John 14:6]
You see every pattern
that has tried to bind my life
from the very beginning.
Thank You for opening my eyes
to the fruit around me -
the real impact of people’s choices,
not just their polished words.
Where I have been dragged
through humiliation,
gas-lighting, or control,
heal my heart
and restore my dignity. [Psalm 147:3]
Give me courage
to set holy boundaries,
to step out of pre‑meditated harm,
and to walk with those
whose fruit matches their faith. [Amos 3:3]
Protect my heart
from hatred and revenge.
Teach me to see the true enemy
behind the scenes,
while still telling the truth
about what people choose. [Ephesians 6:12]
Align my discernment
with Your Spirit,
so I can live boldly in truth
without losing tenderness,
and stand with others
who carry Your light into dark places.
Amen.
And here is the Truth-Telling Tuesday whisper to carry into tomorrow:
“Believe the fruit.
I am not exposing you to shame you -
I am exposing truth to free you.”

🎧 Frequency Feature: I'll Make Love To You
“I’ll Make Love to You” can sit alongside this Truth-Telling Tuesday as a contrast piece that actually sharpens your message. The song is full of passionate promises, which mirrors how easily people can use intense words, romance, or devotion to win trust while their long‑term fruit tells a different story. In the context of your blog, it becomes a reminder that whispered vows, late‑night confessions, and emotional intensity are not enough on their own - discernment means stepping back to ask, “Do this person’s patterns, character, and choices line up with the love they’re singing about?” When paired with your reflection, the track can help readers feel the pull of beautiful words while learning to anchor themselves in something deeper: consistent fruit, godly respect, and truth that stands even when the music stops.

Your Journey Starts Here
Many have asked during my TikTok Lives how to begin their personal or spiritual journey. So far, I've explored and mapped the first three stages for those seeking alignment - the awakening, the journey inward, and the path forward.
These stages have brought profound clarity, and I'm grateful to share what I've discovered along the way.
There are still a few details unfolding, but trust that everything is aligning in its own time - and you'll be the first to know when it's ready.
Remember, this is love being transmuted into art; growth takes time, and you can't rush an actual journey, beautiful souls. In due time, all the right energy falls into place. Just have faith. Hold the vision.
