Truth Telling Tuesday: The Bible Is the Roadmap

People judge what they do not understand. This Truth Telling Tuesday shows how the Bible became my roadmap through betrayal, rejection, and misunderstanding, and how you can find your own season in its pages and walk forward in love.

Truth Telling Tuesday: The Bible Is the Roadmap
Every season you walk through has already been written. Open the map, and follow the light.
Whisper: Your season is not new. It is written.

Good morning, beautiful soul.

Today I want to tell you a truth that changed the way I walk through every hard season: the Bible is the roadmap.

When I look back on my own journey, the betrayals, the misunderstandings, the people who turned away right when I needed them most, I used to feel like no one could possibly understand what I was going through. Then I opened the Word and realized something. I was not the first. Not even close.

Every season I have walked through has already been walked through by someone in those pages. And every one of them left behind wisdom on how to keep moving.

When People Judge What They Don't Understand

Here is something I have learned the hard way. People often judge energy they do not understand.

When God begins to move in your life in a way that does not fit their box, some will be quick to call it something dark. They may label it the devil. They may call it witchcraft. Rarely does anyone stop to consider that it might be God, working through one of His own.

This is not new either. When Jesus healed people and set them free, the religious leaders of His day did not celebrate. They said it was the work of the enemy.

"But when the Pharisees heard this, they said, 'It is only by Beelzebul, the prince of demons, that this fellow drives out demons.'" (Matthew 12:24)

If they misunderstood Jesus, they will misunderstand you. And when the Holy Spirit fell at Pentecost, some onlookers did not see a miracle. They said the disciples had simply had too much wine. Misunderstanding has always followed the move of God.

So when someone mislabels your light, do not take it as proof you are wrong. It may be proof that you are walking in something bigger than they can see.

Your Hometown Will Not Always Honor You

One of the most comforting verses I have ever read is also one of the most honest.

"Jesus said to them, 'A prophet is not without honor except in his own town, among his relatives and in his own home.'" (Mark 6:4)

Jesus Himself went home and was not received. The people who watched Him grow up could not see past who they thought He was.

If the people closest to you struggle to see who you are becoming, you are in good company. Their inability to honor your growth does not cancel your calling. It just means your calling was never theirs to approve.

Betrayal Is Part of the Story

The Bible does not hide betrayal. It puts it right in the center.

Joseph was sold by his own brothers. David was hunted by the king he served faithfully. Jesus was betrayed by someone who shared His table.

"Even my close friend, someone I trusted, one who shared my bread, has turned against me." (Psalm 41:9)

If you have been betrayed, it does not mean your story is broken. It means your story is following a pattern God has redeemed over and over again. Joseph's brothers meant it for harm. God turned it into the very thing that saved a nation.

Find Your Season in the Pages

Here is my invitation for you today. Pick up your Bible and find your season.

Feeling overlooked? Read about David in the fields while his brothers were chosen first. Feeling betrayed? Walk with Joseph. Feeling like you are waiting forever? Sit with Abraham and Sarah. Feeling misunderstood for loving people too much? Follow Jesus.

When you find your season, you find your instructions. And one instruction shows up again and again: keep your eyes fixed forward.

"Let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith." (Hebrews 12:1-2)

Do not keep looking back at who did not understand you. Look ahead at the One who always has.

Love Anyway

The other instruction is just as simple, and just as hard. Love anyway.

Show up with unconditional love in every interaction, even the ones that make no sense. Even when you do not understand why people are acting the way they are. Love is not weakness. It is the most powerful energy there is, and it is the one thing no amount of judgment can touch.

Then put your trust fully in Him. Not in people. Not in outcomes. In Him.

"I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." (John 16:33)

He already overcame it. And He loved you so much that He gave His one and only Son so you would never have to walk any season alone.

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16)

Your Truth Telling Practice

Today, try this:

  1. Name your season. Write down in one sentence what you are walking through right now.
  2. Find your match. Ask God to show you a person in the Bible who walked through something similar. Read their story.
  3. Take their wisdom. Write down one thing they did that you can do today.

Note from Eugenia

Friend, you are not lost. You are following a road that faithful people have walked before you. The map is in your hands. Keep your eyes forward, keep your heart open, and keep loving. He has already overcome the world, and that means your story ends in victory.

The Bible is the roadmap. Now go walk it.

Frequency Feature: "A Whole New World" by Lea Salonga and Brad Kane

Some connections are written in the stars.

You do not plan them. You do not force them. They simply arrive, and the moment they do, something in your spirit recognizes them. These connections are pure energy. They do not need a long explanation, because your soul already understands.

And if you are ever blessed enough to look into someone's eyes and see the universe reflected back at you, you will know it is one of the most beautiful experiences a human heart can hold. In that moment, everything you thought you knew about the world gets bigger. The sky opens. Time slows down. You realize the same God who placed every star in the heavens also placed certain people on your path.

"He determines the number of the stars and calls them each by name." (Psalm 147:4)

That is why this week's Frequency Feature is "A Whole New World," sung by Lea Salonga and Brad Kane as the singing voices of Jasmine and Aladdin in Disney's 1992 classic. Written by Alan Menken with lyrics by Tim Rice, it won the Academy Award for Best Original Song and became the only Disney song ever to win the Grammy for Song of the Year.

The song captures what it feels like when someone invites you to see life from a higher view, past every wall and every limit you have been taught to accept. It is a reminder that the right connection does not shrink your world. It expands it.

So keep your eyes forward and your heart open. The God who wrote the stars is still writing your story, and some of the most beautiful chapters are the ones you have not seen yet.
