Follow Friday: Breaking Chains for All of Us

Beautiful souls,

If you’ve ever sensed that your hardest season was somehow bigger than you - that your breaking was also a breaking of chains for others - this Follow Friday is for you. Some of us didn’t just survive a storm. We were part of something that set people free.

A season bigger than me

I often reflect on the most recent season of my life as one of the most technologically advanced worldwide operations - chains being broken not just for me, but for all of us.

I may not know every last detail.
But I know that whatever happened set off a chain of events that seemed to push not only the American agenda - which, for me, will always be priority number one - but a worldwide agenda for good.

Follow Friday, at its heart, is about who and what you choose to follow.
And I’ve chosen to follow the call toward freedom, truth, and a better world - no matter the cost.

We are all one

Beautiful souls, we are all one - no matter your skin color, your language, or any perceived barrier someone tried to convince you was real.

I’m pretty sure if I walked out onto the street and asked 1,000 people whether they hope the world is a better place in the future, every single one would say yes.

So what are you waiting for?

Trying to intentionally harm or hurt others is always the very pit you fall into yourself. The energy you send out has a way of finding its way home.

This is not just spiritual poetry.
It’s biblical. Open your Bibles. Express your faith the best way you know how - and fight like Hell for what you believe in.

For me, that has always been the red, white, and blue.

What a time to be alive

To the people of my story: what a time it was to be alive.

I pray you own your decisions and do the right thing.

At that time, I was walking in three worlds at once - the digital marketing world, the lawn and landscape industry, and I was just beginning to dip my foot into my spiritual calling that we are well invested in at this point.

And from my perception, it felt like everyone willingly worked together to steal, kill, and destroy - and to puppet the very people on my leadership team - allegedly - I sure wasn't told the Truth I know that much and I knew what each of us wanted - why intentionally interfere with that? No, let's allegedly try and "off" him or put him through so much trauma that he "ends" himself. I just want to know why my friends felt controlled and why the Truth wasn't allowed to be spoken?

Am I supposed to stick around and watch you steal, kill, and destroy - allegedly?
I don’t think so.

Own your actions.
From where I stand, that was methodically premeditated - allegedly.

Calling for the truth, allegedly

There are, allegedly, enough people involved that I know full well there are PR teams in play.

But I want the person who puppeted the leadership team to step forward. The one who - allegedly - attacked my love life, attacked my finances, attacked the connection with my children, and orchestrated things no human should ever orchestrate against another - allegedly.

I don’t feel that is healthy for anyone.
Not for the victims.
Not even for the ones who did it.

I’m tired of waiting on people to do the right thing.

So I’ll keep doing what Follow Friday is all about - following truth over comfort, and my convictions over fear. I will continue telling my truth authentically until the people who attacked every area of my life raise their hand and set the record straight - allegedly.

Follow Friday reflection

This week, as you consider who and what you’re following, ask yourself:

1. Am I following truth, even when it’s costly?
   Or am I following comfort, silence, and the crowd?
2. What chains am I helping to break?
   For myself, my family, my community, my country, and the world?
3. How do I want to be remembered in my story?
   As someone who owned their decisions and did the right thing - or as someone who stayed silent?

Following God isn’t passive.
Sometimes it looks like fighting like Hell for freedom, truth, and a better world -while refusing to become the very darkness you’re standing against.
