Truth Telling Tuesday: If You Cannot Love Me Well, Leave Me Alone
Truth Telling Tuesday is a reminder that love should meet us with honesty, respect, and support. I can protect my peace, trust repeated patterns, release harmful access, and choose relationships that honor my growth without becoming bitter.
I deserve relationships that meet me with love, respect, honesty, and care. I will no longer confuse someone’s access to me with their capacity to support me.
Beautiful Souls,
There comes a point when I have to tell the truth about what love is and what it is not.
Love is not using someone’s heart as a place to unload your unresolved pain.
Love is not staying close enough to benefit from someone’s light while quietly working against their peace.
Love is not watching someone struggle, withholding honesty, and calling it neutrality.
Love is not expecting access to someone’s time, energy, mind, story, and future while refusing to offer respect, accountability, or support in return.
If I am in someone’s life, I want to be there with love.
I want to encourage them.
I want to tell them the truth with care.
I want to celebrate their growth, stand beside them in difficult seasons, and be a safe place instead of another obstacle they have to overcome.
That is the kind of presence I want to be.
And that is the kind of presence I deserve.
“Love is patient and kind… it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth.”
- 1 Corinthians 13:4–7 2075
I have learned that not everyone who has access to me has earned a permanent place in my life.
Some people want proximity without responsibility.
They want the benefit of my kindness but not the accountability of treating me well.
They want to know what I am doing, how I am healing, where I am going, and what I am building, but they are not willing to be honest when their actions, silence, or choices create harm.
That is not love.
That is not support.
And that is not a relationship I am called to keep carrying alone.
I cannot force another person to show up with a backbone.
I cannot make someone choose honesty.
I cannot make someone defend what is right when doing so would cost them comfort, approval, or convenience.
But I can pay attention.
I can notice when love is absent.
I can trust patterns instead of waiting forever for an explanation.
I can recognize when silence becomes its own answer.
“Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ.”
- Ephesians 4:15 2074
Truth telling is not about becoming bitter.
It is about becoming clear.
It is about no longer calling a roadblock “support” just because I hoped someone would become different.
It is about refusing to allow a person to drain my energy, manage my decisions, disrupt my peace, or make my life smaller so they can remain comfortable.
I do not have to prove my worth to people who only see my value when they need something from me.
I do not have to wait on people to do the right thing before I protect my heart.
I do not have to keep giving someone access when their presence repeatedly leaves me feeling unseen, unsupported, or confused.
“Keep your heart with all vigilance, for from it flow the springs of life.”
- Proverbs 4:23 2078
I can be loving and still have boundaries.
I can forgive and still create distance.
I can wish someone well and still refuse to be used as a place for them to avoid their own healing.
I can release the hope that someone will suddenly become honest if their consistent pattern has been silence.
This is not punishment.
This is protection.
This is discernment.
This is me choosing not to abandon myself while waiting for someone else to choose me well.
So today, I am letting this truth stand:
If you cannot meet me with love, respect, honesty, and real support, do not ask for continued access to my life.
I will not keep mistaking inconsistency for care.
I will not keep making room for someone who consistently creates confusion.
I will not continue to carry what belongs to another person’s conscience.
I choose relationships that are mutual.
I choose people who can celebrate, correct, protect, and tell the truth with love.
I choose peace over proximity.
And I choose to guard the life God is building through me.
I release every connection that requires me to betray myself in order to keep it. I am worthy of honest love, reciprocal care, and relationships that make room for me to grow.

This album belongs with today’s Truth Telling Tuesday because it carries a feeling of movement, imagination, memory, and the kind of emotional distance that can make you realize you are ready to step into a bigger life.
There comes a moment when I have to stop waiting for people to become who I needed them to be.
I can wish them healing.
I can hope they choose honesty.
I can release the desire to make them understand the harm their silence, inconsistency, or lack of support created.
But I cannot keep putting my life on hold while I wait.
I cannot keep making room for people who want access to my energy but do not know how to honor my heart.
I cannot keep allowing someone else’s confusion to become a roadblock to the dream God placed inside of me.
This is my reminder that I am still allowed to dream.
I am still allowed to build.
I am still allowed to create a life that feels peaceful, purposeful, supported, and free.
And I do not have to ask permission from people who have repeatedly shown me they cannot meet me with love, respect, and honesty.
I can move forward without bitterness.
I can protect my peace without explaining every decision.
I can trust what patterns have shown me.
I can stop carrying the responsibility for someone else’s silence.
And I can keep becoming the person I was always meant to be.
Some people will not know how to support the dream in you because they are still uncomfortable with the truth in themselves. That does not mean your dream is too big. It means you must keep moving.
Press play when you need to reconnect with your vision.
Let the sound remind you that your life is still yours.
Your future is still waiting.
And the version of you who is living in peace is worth protecting.
Hold the frequency, beautiful soul. Release what cannot love you well, guard what God is growing within you, and keep dreaming forward.
A Note From Eugenia
Beautiful soul,
Not everyone who enters your life is meant to have unlimited access to your heart, your energy, your time, or your future.
That does not make you cold.
That makes you conscious.
I am learning that love is not supposed to leave me constantly confused, diminished, or questioning my worth. Love should be honest. Love should be respectful. Love should be safe enough to tell the truth and strong enough to support what is good in me.
If I cannot show up in someone’s life with love, encouragement, and integrity, then I should be honest about that. I should not become a hidden roadblock in their path. I should not drain their energy while expecting them to keep making room for me.
And I will no longer accept that from others.
I do not need to keep waiting for someone to become accountable before I protect my peace.
I do not need to keep translating silence into potential.
I do not need to make myself smaller so someone else can feel more comfortable with the life God is growing in me.
I can trust what I see.
I can honor what I feel.
I can set a boundary without writing a dissertation about why it is necessary.
I can release people with love and still choose distance.
This is not bitterness.
This is clarity.
This is me choosing relationships that are mutual, honest, and rooted in real care.
May I never lose my softness.
But may I also never again mistake access for love.
With love,
